Thanksgiving Guest Clinic with NAHL Coach Eric Progen

The Sunday after Thanksgiving (Nov. 29), First State Ice Hockey will offer youth hockey players who aspire to play at the junior and collegiate levels a truly unique opportunity for development and advancement.

First State has teamed up with Eric Progen, associate head coach of the Northeast Generals of the North American Hockey League, to offer youth hockey players a pair of high-intensity on-ice sessions designed specifically to help prepare players in the U14 and older divisions to lift their games to the next level. The skates will take place at the Skating Club of Wilmington on Nov. 29 at 6:15 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. Availability is limited to 20 skaters and four goalies per session, and the cost per player is $45.

“First State is excited to be able to bring a coach of this level to the local players,” said hockey director Sean Cannon, who coached alongside Progen during their time with the Valley Forge Minutemen. “It’s a great opportunity for players to show an NAHL coach what they have to offer.”

In addition to his duties with the Generals’ NAHL team, which is based in Attleboro, Mass., Progen serves as head coach and program director for the Generals’ highly competitive Tier 1 U16 and U18 programs.
