First State Flames

First State Ice Hockey will field a U18 team this winter: the First State Flames.

The team is open to players ages 15-18, and will operate from November 2020 through February 2021. The season will consist of 10 practices and a 12-game slate against a variety of teams throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. The game schedule will be “high-school friendly,” so players will have minimal conflicts between Flames games and scholastic games.

Practices will take place on Thursday evenings at 8 p.m. at the Skating Club of Wilmington from Nov. 12 through Feb. 4 (no practices on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve). A game schedule is forthcoming.

The cost for the season is $650, payable either in one lump sum or two installments.
