First State Ice Hockey’s Individual Development Program (IDP) is designed to cultivate more well-rounded hockey players by elevating their physical and mental skill sets. Our coaches, led by FSIH hockey director Sean Cannon and including current Delaware Jr. Blue Hens coaches Nick Giusti and Ensley Milton, will help players achieve their best by assessing every player on an individual basis, finding areas in their games that need growth, and continuing to develop areas of high ability.
Here’s what’s included in the 2021-22 IDP term:
• six on-ice sessions
• one-on-one meetings
• individual film review (for U14 and older players)
In addition to on-ice evaluation of players, IDP participants will receive and participate in involved film review of their in-game performance to help them mentally prepare for practices and games, “read the game,” and to build positive physical and mental habits on the ice.
U12 and younger: $500 (two $250 installments)
U14 and older: $675 (two $250 installments and one $175 installment)
Ice Sessions (all sessions are on Tuesdays at 6 p.m.):
Nov. 9, Nov. 30, Dec. 14, Jan. 11, Feb. 1, Feb. 15
All on-ice sessions will take place at the University of Delaware Gold Arena. Our coaches will work with you directly to schedule one-on-one and film review meetings between on-ice sessions.
NOTE: The IDP is restricted to:
• current members of the Delaware Jr. Blue Hens,
• players who are not currently affiliated with a club in the DVHL,
• players from other DVHL clubs with a signed waiver from their club president.
