August Events, Ice Schedule Announced

First State Ice Hockey is pleased to announce a tentative ice schedule for August 2020.

Like many of you, we are extremely anxious to get back on the ice and focus on the sport we love. With that in mind, we want to do that safely and in complete compliance of governmental guidelines.

Most of our August on-ice activity is scheduled for the Fred Rust Arena at the University of Delaware. By way of its international-sized rink and large accommodations, the facility will be best suited for us to adhere to physical distancing recommendations and other guidelines related to public health during our events.

Our plans include the following:

• two Accelerated Skills Advancement Program (ASAP) terms
• several specialized skill clinics (goaltending, power skating, defence, offence)
• a high school 3v3 mini-game session
• several First State Flames practices

We believe strongly that our revolutionary ASAP clinics are designed perfectly for playing “catch-up” in the most efficient way.

Once we get the final green light from the University regarding our tentative August schedule, will we advise you all of important steps we’ll need to take before we can get back on the ice.
