COLMAR, Pa. — Five teams under the First State Inferno banner opened competition in the Mid-Atlantic Spring Showcase on Friday afternoon (June 4). Check back periodically for results and game recaps, as this page will be updated throughout the tournament.

Preliminary Round 1 — Friday, June 4

Inferno 18U 4, Black Knights 2
The First State Inferno 18U team came out flying in their first game of the Mid-Atlantic Spring Showcase, outpacing the Mid-Atlantic Black Knights, of Whitehall, Pa., in a 4-2 victory at Oaks Center Ice.

VSK Wings 7, Inferno 12U 5
Despite battling back from an early deficit to tie the game at 5-5 midway in the third period, the First State Inferno 12U team fell to the VSK Wings, 7-5, in their first game of the Mid-Atlantic Spring Showcase at Oaks Center Ice.

Inferno 14U 6, VSK Wings 3
A two-goal game from Ryder Thompson and a 19-save performance in net from Jake Rotwitt propelled the Inferno 14U squad (1-0-0) to a 6-3 win over the VSK Wings Blue, of South Brunswick, N.J., to kick off the Mid-Atlantic Spring Showcase tournament at Hatfield Ice.
